RBI may soon want you to memorise your 16-digit card number

The new norms would make it mandatory for customers to enter all their card details - name, 16-digit card number and expiry date, and CVV - every time they make an online payment. Right now, you only need to authenticate transactions through your CVV (card verification value) and OTP (one-time password (OTP).
