Syndicate Bank’s scheme for women

Syndicate Bank has launched a special advance scheme for empowering women entrepreneurs, according to Executive Director TK Srivastava. Women entrepreneurs, he said, can get loans of up to Rs5 crore at low interest rates under the Synd Mahila Sakthi scheme. ING Vysya appoints M Damodaran as Non-Executive Chairman

Corporation Bank opens four e-lobbies in Pune

Corporation Bank has inaugurated Corp Excel – e-lobbies - at four of its branches in Pune and plans on adding two more in the city.Inaugurated today by the bank’s CMD, SR Bansal, the branches are at Nigdi Dapodi, Vimannagar and Pimple Saudagar and will shortly add them at Pune Camp and Aundh branches as well.The initiative comes under the business process re-engineering exercise Project Sankalp. ICICI Bank unveils online A/c opening for NRIs in US

ICICI Bank, India's largest private sector bank launched a completely online account opening facility, for NRIs (Non-Resident Indian) residing in the US.“NRIs can open an NRI savings account with ICICI Bank (Ltd) India in a single session on its website, eliminating the hassles of sending physical documents across continents,” ICICI bank said in a statement. Citigroup quietly scales back in consumer banking

Citigroup Inc has been quietly scaling back its consumer banking presence in some of the world's major cities, pulling out from markets where it does not have enough branches to be competitive.In 2014, Citi retail executives went from targeting 120 of "the world's top 150 cities" to homing in on 100 cities where the company has the greatest scale and potential.
