Sensex up nearly 200 points; Nifty above 10,900

On the BSE index, Vedanta, Tata Steel, NTPC, Coal India and PowerGrid were among the top gainers with their stocks rising 3.73 per cent. On NSE, apart from Nifty PSU Bank and Pharma, all other sub-indices were trading in green with Nifty Metal leading the pack by gaining as much as 2.66 per cent.
