Sensex closes above 66,000-mark for first time

Indian equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, achieved new all-time high records on Friday, fuelled by IT stocks on expectations of a pause in the rate-hiking cycle by the US Federal Reserve. Large cap stocks performing well include HCL Technologies, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
